Ryuji Yamazaki
It is surprisingly weird to hear the announcer call him "Ryuji". No one does that.
Like the Jins, he has no story.
Win with normal move

---|---|
Tch! Worthless... | Wow, what a bore you are. |
English is expanded in a way that sounds a bit too well-spoken for Yamazaki. Oh well.
Win with special move
My translation | Official translation |
---|---|
Oi oi, show me a better time than that. | Oh, come on. Play with me some more, puh-leeeese! |
...wow.
So he is fairly literally saying "play with me some more". So this is technically accurate, but "puh-leeeese" is a hell of a...localization? We'll call it that.
Win with super move
My translation | Official translation |
---|---|
Just a little bit more! Heheheheheheh.... | Aw gee, you almost won. And I almost became the King of Siam! |
...huh?
Did the editor really like Yamazaki or something?
Win with hidden super
My translation | Official translation |
---|---|
Heee hee hee... It's your fault for making me get serious, dumbass. | Hey, don't look at me. You got me angry, remember. |
Kishi got all the hidden supers for me, because I am bad at fighting games, then Caithness corrected the translation.
It's straight, it's literal, I never said otherwise ssssh.
The English version does something with Yamazaki, but it's weird, only two lines, and doesn't match the treatment he gets in the story. Different editor? Forgot? It feels like the boss win quotes were done seperately, which would make sense.
